Our story starts in 1920 when our founder, Albert Bean discovered the secret to growing the best coffee beans with the richest flavor. On a business trip to South America, Albert experienced an epiphany. An old local farmer that Albert was staying with grew coffee for his family. Having tasted this amazing brew, Albert knew immediately that it was the finest, richest coffee he had ever tasted. With permission from the kind farmer, Albert helped grow the beans and soon learned the long kept secret of true rich coffee.

Albert came back to the United States and started his own company called Bean Counters Coffee. Since then, Albert past the secret on to his son and the family business was born. Bean Counters has been growing the best coffees for almost 80 years and now we are pleased to deliver our richest blends right to you at our new restaurant, Bean Counters Cafe.

Situated in Downtown, Anywhere, Bean Counters Cafe is located in the newly renovated Hollister City Bank Building. You'll enjoy our refined atmosphere as you sip our richest blends while surrounded by the unique architecture and history of the Hollister Building.
