Heavenly Blends Cafe and Coffee House has come into this Historic Atlanta neighborhood and made a big difference. A vision that saved a once decrepit Sweet Auburn Neighborhood Church is now a meeting place for Atlanta residents looking for good coffee, good food, and a good feeling. Heavenly Blends is new to the neighborhood, but is steeped in Southern Hospitality and tradition. Every customer is treated like family.
Although Heavenly Blends has been open since March 2004, the official Grand Opening is set for Labor Day Weekend. Join us Saturday, September 4, 2004 for tasty treats and a live concert by Spyro Gyro. Be prepared to savor the experience of live music meeting our heavenly creations.
Local Radio Station 97.9 will be broadcasting live and giving away concert tickets for upcoming events.
The Heavenly Blends decor mixes a bit of caribbean flair with southern charm to invoke a sense of peace and tranquility in a setting that was once used for just that purpose.
The only remainders of it's former use are the cathedral ceilings and a few stained glass windows that were spared by time.
Patrons say they are not sure if the peace that comes over them once they step from the hustle of the busy Sweet Auburn Market into Heavenly Blends comes from knowing it used to be a place of worship or its airy decor.
